Carlos Avila has lived in Trenton area since 1990. I immigrated to the US from Ecuador where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Upon immigrating to the US, I enrolled at Mercer County Community College to learn English and Journalism. Then, from 1991 to 1999 I worked for The Nubian News as the editor of "Las Noticias Latinas" I also host a radio show in WTTM 920 AM. In 2004, "The Trentonian" newspaper created a Spanish language sister paper called "El Latino Expreso" and I was hired as its editor. Now I am the editor of the online version of the periodical found at www.njexpreso.com as well as a weekly contributor for "The Trentonian" newspaper in Trentron New Jersey. I raised my children in the Greater Trenton area.
