Featuring the themes of Diversity, Wonder and Solutions, The USA Pavilion will share the voices and hopes of the American people with our friends and partners in Korea and around the globe. The U.S. Department of State is partnering with explorer, environmentalist and social entrepreneur Philippe Cousteau Jr., to design and operate the Pavilion. The 12,000-square foot exhibition space will house exhibits and programming that represent the unique and diverse nature of America’s ocean environments and coastal communities. Diversity The Pavilion will convey of the diverse and vibrant nature of American life using the voices of its people from coast to coast. Through their stories and experiences we discover the human connections that link us all. Wonder Science and storytelling combine to reveal the true nature of our ocean environments brought to life in breathtaking multi-media displays designed to stimulate the senses and inspire the mind. Solutions The Pavilion will showcase unique elements of American culture and private and public initiatives that inspire personal action and positive change, from a passion for volunteerism and environmental stewardship to a commitment to innovation and technological exploration. A Shared Vision of Hope and Progress The United States’ participation in Expo 2012 demonstrates the comprehensive nature of our global partnership with the Republic of Korea. As friends and allies, we are working together all around the world to tackle some of today’s most difficult challenges.
