Rebekah Brown has been a journalist since 1984 starting at the sports desk for the Wisconsin State Journal. Today she is CEO of The Marketing Square a website and advertising agency in California, Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin. Brown was a Sports Reporter for: --The Wisconsin State Journal (High School & College Sports) --The Kansas City Star & Times (High School, College & Pro Sports) --The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette (Purdue University Beat Reporter) --Sports Editor of The Michigan Chronicle (High School, College & Pro Sports) --Sports Reporter, Boxing Columnist, Layout and Copy Editor for The Detroit News --Writer for a range of Boxing Magazines and Columns Brown graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and after a successful journalism career, transitioned to advertising, events, PR and began building websites in 2004. Brown produced TV, radio, print & event campaigns for Fortune 500 companies with GlobalHue in Detroit. Brown handled Crisis Public Relations with Caponigro Public Relations in Detroit. Brown produced sports event for Urban Sports & Entertainment Group in Charlotte. Since 1996 Brown has worked with clients including Advance Auto Parts, Alltel, American Cancer Society, Ameritech, Bank of America, Best Buy, Budweiser, Carson Beauty Products, The Chrysler Group, The CIAA Basketball Tournament,Corona, Domino’s Pizza, General Mills, Honda, Kmart, Michigan Lottery, Miller Brewing, McDonald’s, MillerCoors, Navy, Rieter Automotive, the University of Michigan Aphasia Program, Mindworks Learning Center, the Oakland Community College Combined Regional Emergency Services Training Program, Verizon Wireless, and Western Union. Brown earned a B.A. in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists; a graduate of the Orange County Bar Association Leadership Law, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Winter Park Class XXI; and a Board Member of Hollow Creek Farm Equine & Canine Rescue.
